On a press release from IFRRO’s member, Copyright Licensing Agency, the RRO in the United Kingdom, it was announced that thanks to an agreement, together with PTFS Europe and Kortext, they will be working towards the transformation of the reading list and course materials market for universities and students globally.
CLA and Kortext, UK’s leading Personal Learning Platform and digital textbook provider will buy the rebus:list Reading List Management System from PTFS Europe, a prominent supplier of the Koha library management system and other products to the library market. This agreement means a serious commitment to making an important investment in the system to enhance its current capabilities and create a world leading resource management solution. The system aims at actively support teaching and learning across education and beyond.
Mat Pfleger, CEO of CLA said that they were delighted about the announcement and that “(…) Our investment further demonstrates CLA’s commitment to develop solutions and services that simplify copyright and make it easier to access content.
