IFRRO speaks at CISAC Private Copying Seminar in Budapest, Hungary

On 11 and 12 December, IFRRO participated in the annual seminar organised by CISAC’s Regional Office for Europe. The seminar took place at the premises of Hungarian CMO Artisjus and it drew dozens of participants from Collective Management Organisations and Copyright Offices in Central and Eastern Europe. Mitko Chatalbashev, CISAC’s Regional Director for Europe, chaired the seminar, and on the first day IFRRO’s Manager for Policy and Regional Development Pierre-Olivier Lesburguères made a presentation on the remuneration for reprography in Europe and the challenges faced by CMOs in the print sector today.

IFRRO welcomed this opportunity to exchange with CISAC and CISAC members on issues of common interest.

On the 10th of December, IFRRO’s representative visited the Hungarian Alliance of Reprographic Rights, HARR, and its CEO Péter Vaskovics. HARR is one of IFRRO’s key members in Central Europe – the RRO was incorporated nearly twenty years ago and has been distributing revenues to authors and publishers since 2002.
