The conference was hosted by the British Library and saw around 100 delegates coming to discuss the development of public lending right in their respective countries. Among the important issues discussed were e-lending and educational lending schemes. The growing interest for PLR in Asia and in Africa was a major feature of the conference. IFRRO moderated two panel discussions and joined delegates to celebrate the successful implementation of PLR in 35 countries worldwide, with more countries joining in every year.
