Purpose :
SPA was founded in 1925. SPA - Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores is a multidisciplinary collecting society that acts for the protection and the collective administration of musical works, dramatic and dramatico-musical works, cinematographic works, audiovisual works, literary works and works of visual arts. SPA is entitled by law to collect and distribute fees for reproduction right, resale right and public lending right. SPA is a member and current president of AGECOP, an entity established to collect and distribute fees for private copy, under the law.
