Changes to management positions within the IFRRO membership
In recent months, a number of IFRRO members have announced new appointments to key management positions within their organisations. We would like to share the news of those appointments with the IFRRO community and welcome our new colleagues to their roles.
In July 2021, Copibec, one of IFRRO’s RRO members in Canada, appointed Mr Christian Laforce as its Executive Director. Previously to joining Copibec Mr Laforce worked in the field of culture and the arts for over 20 years and held several management and advisory positions. In November, CFC, one of our members in France, announced that Ms Laura Boulet had been appointed as their new Director and General Manager. Ms Boulet initially trained as a lawyer, gaining broad management experience in a number of different roles with the Union of Advertisers throughout her career. Also in November, STM appointed Dr. Caroline Sutton as its Chief Executive Officer. Ms Sutton has extensive experience of the Open Science landscape and background within scholarly communications. She will take up her new position in February 2022. For more information, a press release is available here.
In December, Copyright Agency, our member in Australia, announced that Ms Josephine Johnston would become their CEO from 7 February 2022. Ms Johnston has held the position of General Counsel and Company Secretary at Copyright Agency since 2016. More information is available here.
